Taehwa Waterfall

As our time in Ulsan came to a close, we were in a bit of a dilemma on the weekends. We wanted to go out and spend our last few days doing things, but it was so hot that we didn't really want to leave the apartment. There also wasn't really much to do, so it was hard to head out into the sweltering inferno without an exciting destination. On one such Sunday, we decided to venture out and find a waterfall we'd seen downtown a few times.
South Korean graffiti

The walking and bike paths along the banks of the Taehwa

We had only seen it from the street on the other side of the river, so it wasn't until we got close to it that we discovered it was more of a stylized drain than a waterfall. Not worth the heat!

Judy's turn to take a picture of the two of us

This picture is amazing. Andrew might start taking senior portraits as a side business...

The waterfall may have been a bust, but underneath the bridge we discovered a Korean geezer hotspot. There were groups playing games, groups eating, groups just talking and even groups sleeping. Walking through this was definitely worth the heat!

It even looks hot in the photographs...

One last picture before heading for a taxi to take us to our dark, air conditioned home.
