Summer Camp - Song Contest

Along with all the classroom materials and lesson plans that we had to prepare before camp, we also had to have a song chosen and ready to teach to our students that they would perform in front of the camp during the Song Contest. It was difficult to decide on a song before meeting the students and seeing their English levels, but both of our choices turned out well. Andrew went with a favorite of his students at school, "She'll Be Coming Round the Mountain," and Judy chose "Hello Goodbye" by the Beatles. Song practice grew to be a little tedious, but it was all worth it when we got to watch them perform on stage with their props and costumes. Even the classes that we hated having to teach were adorable while they were performing. It was, without a doubt, one of the best nights of camp.

The teacher in charge of organizing the song festival was a teacher that was with us at our winter camp, so she chose us to be the hosts.
