Summer Camp - Arm Fighting

When the other Korean teacher was in charge (not Andrew's co-teacher) our sport was often arm wrestling. (NOTE: Only the native English teachers called it arm wrestling, to Koreans this pastime is known as arm fighting.) This one wasn't a favorite (of Andrew's or the students') but it was at least inside and not out in the heat, so it wasn't too bad.
Again, ladies first...

The boy in the jersey's English name: Sonic!

So ugly he's cute

Edward

He never had any clue what was going on, EVER. His extreme ADD kept him aloof most of the time. He would space out an entire class if you didn't stand in front of his desk and keep him focused. And, he just did really weird things that we found hilarious. He was a favorite of all the teachers.

His strategy of 'limp arm' suggested that he was unaware of the concept of arm fighting entirely.

Look at that intensity!

teacher vs student

After he finished his round of arm fighting, Edward found a new game that held his attention much better. For the last 20 minutes of class, he slid an eraser into the crack of the platform at the front of the room. Slide, retrieve, repeat, slide, retrieve, repeat. He was so cute and weird!
