Tokyo, Japan! - Tokyo Disney

On day 2, we got up early and headed for the happiest place on earth, Tokyo Disney!!! We hoped that getting there early we would be able to beat the crowds and the heat. The crowds weren't too bad, but there was no avoiding the Japanese summer. The temperature was up in the 90's before 10AM. It was hot, humid and nasty outside...
Out of the subway, and going into the park

M-I-C-K-E-Y M-O-U-S-E!!!

Welcome to the happiest place on earth

Always thought Alice was blond...

It looks exactly the same!

The creole section of the World Bazaar

We wanted to find the classic Mickey and Minnie hats, but all they sold were dumb headbands. It was really sad.

Andrew also really wanted the classic Goofy baseball cap with the ears hanging on the side and the teeth on the extra long bill, but, again, no where to be found. This Goofy headband was as close as we could get. Who have you become, Disney? You've changed...

On a river safari...

Our captain was amazing

Watch out! A hippo!

That is a hooded towel she's wearing.

Snack time rolled around when we were in Westernland, so we saddled up to a seat at the Hungry Bear Restaurant. What type of food do you think of when you hear the words 'Westernland' and 'Hungry Bear?' If you said, 'curry,' then you're right! The menu consisted of 3 types of curry. We went with the chicken.

Post curry

You're welcome!

It's a Small World is just as creepy in Japanese, FYI!

Toontown!

"_____ in rear," never gets old!

There was amazing hedge art all over the park

The line for Space Mountain :(

Tomorrowland

Our amazing Splash Mountain picture!
The group of ladies in front of us were insane.

Incredible!

Those are caramel popcorn tubs around each of their necks...

Disney dishes at the Home Store

Dirty tourist

These were the only characters we saw out walking around. The Rescuers Down Under must not be popular or powerful enough to say, "Hell no, it's too hot to be in this damn costume!" like the bigger Disney stars...
