D&T's Busan Birthday Bash - Waiting 4 Burgers

The next morning, Part 4 of the 4 Part Plan began. We got up, had a little breakfast, and headed to the next beach over to get a burger from a place called Blowfish. Dave and Teresa raved about this being 'the best burger in Korea,' so we decided we would give it a shot. Dave and Teresa are from Canada (they're neither smart nor sophisticated), so we didn't have high expectations for the burger.
The vacant lot next to the Mashnote.
Barbwire is a sign of a classy love motel.

We took a different taxi than everyone else, so of course, we ended up in the wrong area. The others were dropped off at the beach, but we were dropped off at the train station. Thankfully it wasn't very far away from the beach. The area was a bit on the 'run-down' side of things, but it still had it's charm.
A small convenience store

A restaurant

When we got to the beach,
we found this dad and son in matching Polham t-shirts!
There is nothing more adorable than a Korean family in matching outfits.
(Besides Andrew and Judy in matching outfits.)

SongJeung Beach.

It is the next beach north of Haeundae, and much better. We were the only foreigners on the beach, which was a welcomed change.

This was really weird.
These two women were taking tons of pictures of that creepy doll.

The Blowfish was closed,
so we camped out at the convenience store next door to wait.

Waiting...
We waited for hours.

True Dat!

Every time we take a train to Busan, Andrew talks about the pirate ship restaurant. SongJeung Beach happened to be where that restaurant was. While we were waiting, Dave, Korey and Andrew ventured towards it to investigate.

It turns out that it is a BBQ duck restaurant,
which has only made Andrew talk about it more.

Wedding shots on the beach
After Andrew took the first picture, a Korean man on the street yelled to them and had them turn around and pose so Andrew could get a picture of them!

Still waiting...

Judy was not happy about the wait

Andrew found ways to entertain himself

The cutest construction worker ever!

Finally, the Blowfish opened!

The burgers ended up being well worth the wait. They were just as delicious as they were talked up to be. We've respected D&T a lot more since. (We waited so long and were so hungry by the time the burgers arrived that we forgot to take a picture, sorry...)
