The Long Road to Jujeon

One Sunday, we called up Sam and planned to go on a hike. We took the bus to Sam's neighborhood, Nammok, and from there hiked to Jujeon Beach, the next beach to the North. Koreans are pretty lazy, so we assumed the hike was going to be more of a nature walk, but we were wrong. Most of the first hour was straight up a mountain. It was way more intense than we thought it was going to be.

Looking back

The view we had from the first place to we took a break. The trail started at those apartment buildings at the bottom of the picture, so we had climbed quite a bit.

"

Judy and Sam shimmying past the balls...

Some awesome fungi

A random burial site

We finally reached the ocean!

when your feet are out of the frame...)

Beginning the descent to the beach

An afternoon nap

Working hard

Rice paddies are awesome looking

The mountain side was beautiful

An extremely non-Korean house

Really? You're going to mix that plastic lawn furniture in with the awesome carved wood furniture?

Pagoda lighthouse!

Jujeon Beach One of the few black stone beaches in Korea
