Miranda Visits! - Cooksons Gone Wild!®

During the week, Judy took a day off from school to show her sister around a little of the city. Their first stop was Gyeongbok Palace.

Television dramas set in the Silla and Chosŏn Dynasties (ancient Korea) are very popular, so reenactments like these are fairly common throughout the year at the larger palaces and historical sites around the peninsula.

경복궁

Gyeongbokgung, meaning 'Palace of Shining Happiness' in English, dates back to the Chosŏn Dynasty (14th century) and was the home of King TaeJo, the founder and first king of the Chosŏn.

영등포동

Youngdeungpo is a busy eating and drinking neighborhood located near Andrew's school, so once he was off work, they met him there for dinner.

How you imagine all streets in Asia to look

For dinner this night, we showed Miranda another Korean culinary gem we discovered, 초개구이. Chogae Gui is an assortment of shellfish grilled at your table. It's so simple, yet so, so delicious.
