After our jam-packed, whirlwind 48 hour tour of Beijing, we headed to spend the remainder of the holiday bumming around Hong Kong. In HK, the only plans we had was a long list of street food and local cuisine to try. We had no tours booked nor any sights to see. We were there to consume and meander, and fortunately, HK is south enough that, unlike Beijing, the weather allowed us to do that comfortably.
We realized just before leaving Korea that there was a scheduling error on Hostelworld.com for our room in Hong Kong when we received a travel reminder. Our room was reserved for Saturday and Sunday nights, when we needed Friday and Saturday. At the time we were stressed and annoyed because we didn't find out until all rooms at a reasonable rate were booked do to the holiday. In the end, we settled on the Central Park for Friday night, and our original place on Saturday.
Tsui Wah (no clue how that's pronounced) was an awesome, 24 hour Asian diner. It had everything from sandwiches to curries to chicken wings to milkshakes!
Just peal back the foil, and bam, you've got a glass of wine! Marks & Spencer, you've thought of everything.
Do you think these girls have any clue they're posing in front of Thomas Sutherland, the founder of HSBC?
There was a swarm of them circling outside the hotel, and as Andrew was watching them, this one repeatedly broke from the circle and dove directly at the window, specifically right at Andrew's face. It was so scary. Each time that thing attacked and it's claws hit the window, Andrew involuntarily let out a girly shriek!
