Home For The Holidays

Flying Seoul to Pasco is not a direct flight, obviously. Every route offered (at a reasonable price) gave Andrew a 6-10 hour layover somewhere, which meant that he had to leave Seoul a day earlier to account for that chunk of time. The best fare available ended up being a flight through San Francisco with an 8 hour layover. Fortunately for Andrew, his friend Dustin was still in town and able to take the day off. Dustin picked him up at the airport and they got to spend the day hanging out in the City by the Bay. Andrew's mustache part was extra bad after a 12 hour flight...

First meal in America - California chicken panini and fries at a bar with a Guinness and a Manhattan.

A few hours later, second meal in America - A bean burrito and a double down at a KFC/Taco Bell!
DOUBLE DOWN!!!

The real taste of freedom!

Cheesesteaks from Bruchi's....mmmm

O Tannenbaum, O Tannenbaum...

Good lookin' kid!

Andrew's first taste of fruitcake.
Verdict: Not great, but not as bad as it's made out to be.

Meet Frank

Andrew's brother Justin, and his wife Jana, were in North Carolina visiting her family so Andrew's parents were given the responsibility of Labradoodle-sitting their dog, Frank. He was just a puppy, so a little wild at times but he made a nice addition to the family, and a nice subject to photograph... On Christmas morning, Frank was happy as a clam shredding (and eating) all the wrapping paper, ribbon and tinsel from under the tree. Later that night, however, he didn't seem to be having as much fun throwing that all back up!

J&J

Judy arrived home on Christmas Eve just in time for the annual prime rib feast prepared by Poppa Cookie. The feast was even more delicious this year considering Judy hadn't had a decent cut of meat in a year and a half! Poppa Cookie preparing the eggs benedict on Christmas morning while modeling his new hat/mask combo and bloody mary glasses.
Too cute, Grandma!
Taking a break after slavin' over a hot stove all morning.
This picture is great! Everyone was smiling normally, but just before the the camera flashed, Judy's Aunt Judy sneezed on the back of her cousin Hannah's head so that the picture captured everyone's reaction!

A little taste of Korea: Soju!!!

할리갈리

Among the Korean things that Judy brought home, was the game Halli Galli, a Korean children's game similar to Slap Jack, but way better! Much to her surprise, everyone loved it. This particular game of Halli Galli got really heated. We're not pointing any fingers but 2 of the players got a little more violent than necessary...You know who you are!
