Since moving to Seoul, Judy has become quite the food blog enthusiast. At first it seemed rather obsessive and unhealthy, but she has discovered many culinary gems around the city. One such gem she stumbled upon, called, "Happy Hour Bliss," highlighted the happy hour offered at the COEX Intercontinental Hotel, and changed our lives forever.
Pre-departure self-timers:
We were fortunate enough to share the subway with this babe straight from the set of Saved By the Bell!
For happy hour, the hotel lobby opens up an all you can eat and drink buffet Monday thru Saturday from 6-9pm. The food is mostly appetizers; potato wedges, chicken wings, veggies and dip, chips, cheese, breadsticks, etc but also has some pasta dishes and other more substantial offerings. The drink selection features a wide range of red and white wines, along with soju and beer. Pretty freakin' awesome! Especially so here in Korea, where good, non-sweet wines can be pretty difficult to come by and significantly marked up.
We're not the biggest fan of buffets, so we were a bit skeptical of the food, but most of it turned out to actually be pretty good (However, the all-you-can-eat aspect of the happy hour is not what really brought us, so we didn't hold the bar too high). The best dish ended up being the fried chicken wings. Thus, the Intercontinental Hotel's happy hour has been forever dubbed, "Wing & Wine Night!"
