On Buddha's birthday, after catching a bus by the Hyundai Heavy Industries shipyard, we met with Andrew's co-teacher, MyungKyo, to go to a restaurant that was about an hour outside of the city. We didn't really know what to expect, and when she got off the freeway and turned onto a narrow gravel road, we were a little anxious, but once we saw the place, we knew it was going to be good.
The first course was a dish traditionally eaten by Korean royalty. We were given soft, flattened rice cakes to fill with a variety of things, like spinach, beef, cucumber, fried egg, etc. They were really good.

Stewed beef and vegetables
Pork with chili sauce
Our final course was a small bowl of
rice mixed with beef and vegetables.

The front door
MyungKyo and Judy
The trusty self-timer pulls through again!
It was REALLY hot out, that's why they are
crowded under the shade of the umbrella.
After lunch, we moved downstairs for tea and rice cakes.
The gravel road
MyungKyo wasn't lying, it was an awesome place!

They never quite got the hang of taking their shoes off before entering a building or sliding them back on when leaving. We always had to wait for them!
