Our neighborhood is literally surrounded by sections of the Hyundai Heavy Industries shipbuilding plant. We had planned on taking a tour, but realized too late that a reservation needed to be made one week in advance. Since we were unable take the tour, we decided to catch a bus at a stop near the shipyard so we could at least walk by and see a little. Hyundai Heavy Industries is the world's largest shipbuilding company, producing over 10% of the tankers, container ships and other carriers on the ocean today.
